Haven’t kept an online training journal in several years, but decided it would certainly be a good thing for accountability purposes………so I figured I’d go back to the same place where I kept my quite initial public journal.
2015 was probably the worst year I’ve ever had when it comes to workouts and fitness. Nagging lower back and knee complications Have actually limited my gym time. 2015 was likewise the initial year from the last 30 where I didn’t even consider training for some type of strength related contest. It’s been a bit depressing, but at the same time, it’s likewise been somewhat of a wakeup call. I’ve realized that I’m not as young as I used to be, my recovery is not the same as it once was, and I’ve beaten my body up along with too much heavy volume work over the years.
At the moment, my body is feeling quite decent, so we’ll see what 2016 brings. My #1 goal for the year is to stay injury/pain free. My #2 goal for 2016 is to compete in at least one PL meet and one grip contest. It will probably take a miracle to make this all happen, but I’m feeling quite good about it.
