Hey guys. I am definitely a novice runner, having finished my very first 5K; the Komen Race for the Cure. I finished my 5k in 25:39 which I believed was really good. I plan on running the Turkey Trot; non-competitive. This time, I have actually convinced my wife to run it along with me.
I have actually her on the C25k plan using Robert Ullrey podcasts. along with roughly 7 weeks remaining before Thanksgiving, she probably won’t be able to run the whole 5K, yet I am still fairly happy she is trying it. I am running along with her on M-W-F using the plan. Tue- Thurs- Sat I plan on training to increase my 5k time. I am worried I could be overtraining, yet I think the M-W-F training days are so light I need to be OK.
I would certainly like to progress to a 10K and then maybe a half-marathon, yet I doubt I could ever do a full marathon.
